The 63rd Series of Meetings of the Assemblies is taking place in Geneva from 14 to 22 July, 2022. More than 1200 delegates from 193 member states of the Organization are participating the Assemblies in hybrid format to exchange opinions regarding development of intellectual property protection and post-pandemic long-term recovery policy and activities in the intellectual property field.
During the General Assembly, Director General G.Elbegsaikhan presented his statement and introduced ongoing policy and activities implemented by the Government of Mongolia related with the intellectual property. He stated that Mongolia optimized its IP-related legal environment by harmonizing it to the international treaties and creating an environment to promote digitalization process.
At the end of the statement, he informed that numbers of filings for IP at the IPOM increased despite the challenges posed by the pandemic in 2021 and IPOM has concluded preparations to signing important documents including Cooperation Agreement for the Development of IP Office Business Services and MoU on development of IP Curriculum for institutions of higher education.
